FAQs

ALLDATA Shop Manager™ Pro provides an advanced shop management solution designed to give repair and collision shops clearer visibility, stronger workflow control, and better day-to-day efficiency. Unlike systems that rely on third-party integrations for OEM repair information, Shop Manager Pro is built on the ALLDATA platform, connecting shop operations to OEM repair and collision information to help teams work faster, reduce friction, and keep jobs moving.

Shop Manager Pro is built for growing repair shops that need greater visibility and control as volume and operational complexity increase. Shop Manager Pro is ideal for shop owners, managers, and service advisors who want workflows designed around real repair processes, not generic business tools, so teams can stay aligned from diagnosis through delivery.

Shop Manager Pro improves efficiency by bringing job tracking, customer communication, and operational insight into a single, connected workflow. Built on the same platform as OEM repair and collision data, Shop Manager Pro reduces system switching, minimizes handoffs, and helps technicians stay focused on the repair rather than managing software.

Key capabilities that support more efficient shop operations include:

  • Two-way texting with customers
  • Photo and video attachments tied directly to the work order
  • Instant, seamless access to repair procedures for each labor line
  • Parts inventory management and tracking
  • A visual work-in-progress board
  • Technician time and cost tracking
  • Business critical reports

Shop Manager Pro supports better repair decisions by keeping shop workflows closely connected to OEM repair information. When estimating, tracking jobs, or managing work in progress, teams can rely on consistent, manufacturer-accurate data rather than jumping between disconnected systems—helping reduce guesswork and improve consistency across repairs.

Yes. Shop Manager Pro is designed to help shops grow without adding unnecessary complexity and is well suited for growth-focused, midlevel operations. The shop management software is ideal for shops with three to six bays handling roughly 150 to 400 repair orders per month, teams that include service advisors and technicians with optimized workflows, and shops that already have technology integrations in place, such as accounting or electronic parts ordering catalogs.

By unifying shop management tools and OEM repair information in one environment, Shop Manager Pro reduces the need for multiple systems and manual workarounds, making it easier to scale operations while maintaining quality, consistency and control. Shop Manager Pro is designed to boost efficiency without overwhelming your team.

Shop Manager Pro is built specifically for automotive repair shops and is natively connected to OEM repair and collision data inside the ALLDATA platform. Rather than relying on separate tools and integrations, Shop Manager Pro brings repair information and shop operations together—helping teams work more efficiently, reduce friction, and maintain confidence in every repair.
