From tinkering with cars alongside my dad as a kid to becoming the go-to guru for automotive conundrums, my journey has been fueled by a passion for both cars and technology. While growing up, I found myself drawn to the intricate workings of both automotive electrical systems and computers. While my heart leaned towards programming, my hands were always working on a car.

During high school, I was the "car guy" among my friends, always ready to lend a hand with their automotive issues. Still, I found myself equally captivated by the world of computers. This led me to pursue a major in computer science in college, while simultaneously immersing myself in the automotive world through a job at a local shop.

While working as a mechanic and going to college in the mid-'80s, I found my calling amidst the tangled wires of automotive electrical systems. Determined to master the emerging field of automotive electronics and computer systems, I embraced every challenge, especially those deemed "unsolvable" by others.

For two decades, I honed my skills as a diagnostician, thriving on unraveling mysteries that stumped even seasoned technicians. But my passion didn't stop at fixing cars; it extended to nurturing the next generation of automotive enthusiasts.

Transitioning into academia as an automotive instructor, I relished the opportunity to share my wealth of experience and expertise. I developed a curriculum for electric and hybrid vehicles, striving to keep pace with the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.

Now, with over 35 years of experience under my belt, I am thrilled to join the Tech-Assist team. My goal is to leverage my skills to support and empower the industry's top technicians. Collaborating with a talented group of peers, I eagerly anticipate tackling new challenges and remaining at the forefront of vehicle technology advancements.
